Why on earth did the stars align like this?

I'm in my scripting era

I’m in my scripting and thumbing era, to be clear. For me, the two are very interlinked to varying degrees depending on the project. It’s just bananas that everything I’m working on right now is in the tedious beginning stages and not the fun inking and coloring stages.

I’m currently working on Amira the Van Life Cunt (Issue 3), Chapter 7 of The Shepherd’s Sword, and a one-shot boot worship comic with writer Aphy Ray. I’m also working on a pitch packet for the anachronistic knights and princesses story with Jessica Delphi. Plus… a bunch more stuff! Let’s get into it in this newsletter and break it all down.

Print copies of Amira are here!

Big news!! Amira the Van Life Cunt (Issue 2) is available in the shop. It’s a beautiful 44 page road trip wherein Amira fumbles a bad bitch. Repeatedly??? But sexily… Digital copies are still exclusively on Patreon and Substar, but here’s your chance to get the print edition.

“Amira in Barrel’s Bottom”

Oh, and if you missed it last time, “Amira in Buff World” (aka: Amira the Van Life Cunt Issue 1) is on itch.io. For now, at least, get it while you can. Censorship is a many headed hydra.

I’m currently working on Issue 3: “Amira in the Caravan” which is fully scripted. It looks like it will be 56 pages, making it the longest installment in the Amira Miles saga yet. Pencils have begun! Updates will follow for Horn Dog tiers and higher on Patreon as I finish these pages. She’s going to be my cozy little autumn/winter project.

In Their Clutches (monsterfucker zine!)

Tis the season for monsters to make their appearance… Another Nova and Mali produced banger has hit the Kickstarter ecosystem. This time it’s a 32 page riso zine with art from a ton of artists (including me!) We reached full funding within 24 hours, which is just a testament to the power of monster loving weirdos, art book perverts, and risograph enthusiasts.

I’ve been working on the print layout design and organizing things with the print shop to get everything ready for this masterpiece. It’s going to be so damn beautiful. Here’s a sneak peek at my contribution!

One more show for 2025!

NEXT WEEK: New York Comic Con! I’ll be tabling with my girlfriend En at C-43 in artist alley. We’ll be next to Misha and MK ❤️ This is the last big show for me for the year, so let’s make it fun!

But the true last show of the year is my beloved Portland Zine Symposium, where it all began. I’ll be at PSU’s Ballroom on Sunday November 9!!

The Shepherd’s Sword

Chapter 6 has resumed updates over at theshepherdssword.com The whole chapter is complete and available to read on Patreon, or you can read ahead by becoming a paid subscriber to the webcomic at theshepherdssword.com

Catskullery inked this page! Thank you, twin.

I’m currently working on Chapter 7. This chapter is pretty narratively difficult for me, and I’m trying to thread the needle carefully. We’ll get introduced to a new character this chapter who maybe we have seen before… but not in the way you expect.

October Mail Club

Available only October 2025!! Last month’s mini print was the cute fat neolithic cave painting horses. I loved them so much, that I decided to make them into stickers for this month’s Patreon reward! I have never done multiple stickers for a single month, so this is extra special. If you join the mail club in October, I’ll send you these ponies next month!

This month’s print is a new character named Kismet. She’s part of the Boyish Girlish universe, which is bopping around in the back of my mind until the time is right. She’s the missing piece of this story, and I’m so glad I found her. Join the mail club by October 31st and I’ll send you these!

The Tale of the Royal Equinox Rager

My bestie for like 10+ years Jessica Delphi and I are taking our princess and knights story to the publishing world. Like I said I wasn’t going to, but oh my god I can’t stop thinking about it. I believe in this story so, so, so, so, SO much that I need to get it out there. We’re working on the pitch packet right now. I can already tell it will come so much faster than any of my previous pitches because of how it’s coursing in my veins.

Here’s the first ever experimental pages we made for this story. Read the rest on my website!

What else did I do this month, hmm…

Normally this section is a handful of small paragraphs, but I have to go to the gym so it’s bullet point time to just bang this out:

  • Boots comic with writer Aphy Ray is under way! Very sexy, fully scripted, mostly thumbed.

  • Went to gluten free beer tasting at Field Day and had a donut for the first time in a year and a half (the number one food I miss the most being gluten free)

  • Made some really cool fan art for Adeline Kon’s wolf girl queer horror comic “My Father Was A Good Man”

  • Bowie made me a belt that says BIG DOG on it, and it’s my most cherished possession

  • The rainy weather has set in, and I’m so ready to be cozy and have a normal routine life.

  • Redesigning Fawnduu’s website! It’s still under construction, but it’s going to look very cool and sexy and easy to navigate when it’s done.

  • I’m also working on ANOTHER upcoming Nova and Mali (and Dames!!!) project which is yet to be announced, so follow for updates ;)

  • It’s the start of Libra season, and my friends all wanna hang out, which is so fun and heartwarming and fulfilling. When I travel so much, it’s easy to feel like I don’t actually live here, but now I’m feeling that community feeling again, and it’s awesome.

Here’s some sweet treats for you to check out:
