Well, I hit my Mailchimp limit

So here we are now on Substack.

Sorry to my long time (and new) followers for the sudden Substack jumpscare. I just couldn’t justify spending $13/mo to upgrade Mailchimp to let me send more emails.

I looked into some other options for email newsletters, but after some experimentation and exploration, it seems like Substack is actually what fits my needs for now. There’s a lot of customization and things I’ll have to set up later when I have more time. The good news is they let me import my Mailchimp archive so I haven’t actually lost anything! The bad news is that this process of researching and migrating email platforms ate up a whole afternoon. All I wanted to do was quickly give you a brief update. Well… we press on.

Shop Update

NEW! I have two new washi tape designs in the shop. This is my first time experimenting with washi tape. I wanted to make some custom tape for Patreon envelopes, and I had a lot of fun making them! The first two designs in the shop are up now.

What else did I do this month, hmm…

I’m trying desperately to claw my way back into spending time in my city again. The weather being so good makes me thirsty for going to different neighborhoods and walking around with a coffee drink. Yesterday I went to the bluffs for a bit just to get some sun and spend time around other human beings. It feels good. It feels right.
