May recap! I went to two CAFs!

West coast CAF, east coast CAF

In May, I went to VanCAF and then immediately after… MCAF. It was such a whirlwind, and I love both events soooo much! And I always love spending time with my pals in Montreal.

We had to drive up to Vancouver from Portland on Saturday morning at 3am. Then set up and table all day. Then table on Sunday, break down, and immediately drive back home to get home before midnight. It was intense! But we wanted to be away from our cat for as little time as possible. Because just two days later, we flew to Montreal for a week.

I’m so excited to not leave my house for the rest of the summer. I’m working on How Could You three days a week forever now.

This month’s Autostraddle comic documents a little excursion to a lesbian bar. It’s very expensive to go out these days. What are some cheap ways to hang out and find community? Much to think about.

Also this month for sticker club, I made a sticker sheet! It was very experimental, but a success I think. I’m going to think more about how I can do flash sheet style sticker sheets 🤔

I made a Matisse still life riso print for Classics III featuring 21st century queer bedside table artifacts <3 It will be four color riso printed in bright red, blue, sunflower, and black ink.

Other things I’m putting into my brain this month: Yellowjackets finale, rewatching Adventure Time, listening to the Nona the Ninth audiobook, new Hozier song (Francesca on repeat babyyy). And I’m trudging through the final season of Riverdale. God bless.
