Amira Miles, the van life OC
Oops she has a story now
At the top of this month, I started having fun with a new character. Her name is Amira Miles and she’s a van life influencer who doesn’t like her job, but she likes the freedom of going from town to town hooking up with random girls. She’s a dirtbag and a loser, and I was having fun just thinking about her and making playlists and doodling her. BUT THEN…

I started drawing more, and scripting an 18+ mini comic, and before I knew it, she had a whole backstory and family and ex girlfriend and plot. Stay tuned for more about her. I’m not putting any deadlines or pressure on it, because I want Amira to stay fun to work on, but I hope you enjoy the ride!

It’s the final days of living in our old apartment 🥹
En and I found an apartment where we can have both our desks and do our work comfortably. We’re gonna pay some local butches to help us move our big furniture. To help with moving costs, I have a sale going on from now through May 31!
All my digital zines are on sale via itch.io - they’re each 20% off or you can save 30% when you buy them all in a bundle! For print zines, risographs, stickers, etc. you can take 20% off my online shop with code: MOVEIT

May Mail Club and 18+ Reward!
This month is dedicated to Yona! She’s a cutie pink girl and a hopeless romantic. Yona is one of the main girls from my debut graphic novel How Could You. I’ll be sending out April and May rewards at the beginning of June after we move into our new place. Join the mail club!
Also for the 18+ tiers, Shep and Nieve are this month’s best girlfriends.
What else did I do this month, hmm…
VanCAF was really good. I love going to Vancouver, and I love getting to say hi to y’all! It was the last event of the spring for En and I, and it was a great conclusion to the spring line up. Our next show will be Summer Story Fest here in Portland at the end of July, and then Flamecon in August in NYC!! Fingers crossed we get to do NYCC and RCCC as well 🤞 Tabling events is one of my most favorite parts of this job. Though it will be nice to have most of the summer off to enjoy our new apartment and start decorating.
Maybe we’ll get to go camping this summer?
About that, ok so remember in the last email how I was talking about not feeling better since catching covid in August? Well I’m working on investigating my health, and I think I have some autoimmune stuff going on. So between that and moving and doing VanCAF, I haven’t been to the gym or hiking all month. It feels weird, because, like, who even am I?? But I’m working towards feeling better, and hopefully I’ll be back to the gym soon!
And with that being said, I appreciate y’all so much for the support in my journey as an artist. It’s not easy to be freelance and navigate health issues in this country, but I wouldn’t trade this way of life for anything. And I couldn’t do it without all of you! Thank you! I’ll keep making stuff. Ok bye love you be good!
Here’s some sweet treats for you to check out:
My girlfriend has commissions open! Let them draw your OCs, it would be so swag. Also they have a new zine on itch.io with little daily slice of life comics <3
Pre-order my book! How Could You comes out this December.
