A documentation of great honors :')
Not to brag, but this month has been kind of awesome.
This space left intentionally blank. This email is so jam packed, I have no room for pre-amble. LOCK IN!
First off: where can you find me this summer?
Well, besides the river and the woods and the renaissance faire, here are a list of events I’ll be at this summer where you can find me and En!

I’ll be at TCAF, doing a panel at Word Balloon Academy with Georgia Grieve on the Friday before the show. It’s my first time at TCAF, so I’m really excited!
Summer Story Fest will be at Outlet/Sonny’s House in the courtyard at the end of June. This will be my third time doing this event, and it’s something I look forward to every year. I always go home with the best art.
I’m only at Anime Expo by the grace of En, who is actually the one who got a table, and it’ll be our first time there. I know it’s such a huge event… I’ll be hiding under the table mostly, I think.
Then we’ll be at Flame Con! This one is a surprise :)c I’ll be doing a panel there, too, so I hope to see you in New York.
Then we’re rounding out the summer back in Portland with Rose City, my beautiful hometown con <3
Amira the Van Life Cunt, issue 2
She’s back!! I finished and released Amira the Van Life Cunt, issue 2 “Amira in Barrel’s Bottom” to Patreon this month, and you all have been giving her the attention she desperately craves. Go ahead, fall in love with her at your own risk.

Bitches on Comics
I did an interview with the fabulous team at Bitches on Comics about How Could You! I spoke bluntly and from the heart, which is embarrassing. Go read my earnest responses about messy queer relationships.

If you like moody colors and romantic entanglements, check out How Could You and get a copy! (Also it’s graduation season, congratulations to all the college grads in my life who are leaving college behind. College sucks!! You’ll be free now.)
Oh Joy Sex Toy presents “Camping Trio”
Pitch a tent and try not to get wet! A new one shot made just for OJST is here featuring two buff camping butch daddies and their twinkish dyke princess.
I wrote this five page comic at the end of last year, drew it at the start of this year, and now you can read it totally for free on the OJST website! Working with OJST was really awesome, and I hope to do it again in the future. Enjoy~

The Shepherd’s Sword
I’m currently working on finding a good local printer to print Volume 1 of The Shepherd’s Sword! I think I found someone, and even though the cost is a bit higher than other places, I will feel good going with someone local. And they were flexible with me on the price, which I really appreciate. And I won’t have to pay and wait for shipping! I can just… go get my freaking books, which rules.
My graphic design friend Dabi has volunteered to do the print layout and fix all my stupid pages to make them uniform. There’s a huge difference in the chapters from before I made a graphic novel and the chapters after I made a graphic novel. Going forward my webcomic will be much easier to put together into a book, I promise. Sorry, Dabi! And thank you!
More news about Volume 1 pre-orders will be coming next month. In the meantime, here’s a link to read the latest public page on The Shepherd’s Sword dot com.

Shout out to Tabooless omg??
I was looking at my itch.io stats and analytics in preparation for a new update coming this summer, and I noticed that the website tabooless.com is the second most popular referral website to my itch, after google— just about on par with my own website or Instagram! What!! So I was like, “what’s going on over there?” and I found out they included Howl in a monster fucker round up in October. What the heck!! Thank you, guys!!
Read Howl here, and check out the roundup here.
May Patreon Rewards
Yes, another blue wolf with its tongue sticking out. With swords! This time posed like a medieval lion. I like what I like, what can I say? These are all made locally here in Portland OR. Shoutout to Saturn Stickers for printing the stickers. They turned out so great! Choose your tier and get the sticker, or the sticker + print mailed to you next month!

For Horn Dog tiers and up, there’s a new Shep and Wayne illustration for you to peep.

What else did I do this month, hmm…
I got my back tattoo started! Shout out to Willis Nutt at Lombard St Tattoo for being the greatest of all time. I’ll be going back for shading after TCAF. This tattoo looks so sick, and I immediately had to get new halter bras so I can show it off this summer. I’ll be taking pics non stop once it’s done, so hang tight.
I’ve been enjoying the routine of my day-to-day in this past month of not traveling for conventions or events. I love my city, I love my neighborhood. It feels good to be here. En and I have both been working a lot so we’re trying to make time in the evenings to have an edible and watch Righteous Gemstones while we fold laundry. That has been really nice. We also started making weekly meal plans, which helps a lot since we’re both so busy and our availability fluctuates. The weekly menu helps by taking the decision making out of our hands.
The other thing I have been working on this month is bravely getting my credit card debt in check. This is the second time since starting my comics career that I’ve maxed out my card and paid it off. All the debt is business expenses, so I’m not like, terribly irresponsible. It’s just the cost of doing business. But I’m going to be good now. I’m an angel now. I think I’m finally in a position where I can keep my head just above water when it comes to my monthly living expenses, which makes it easier to tackle the business costs. Being a self-employed artist for a career is always a little treacherous, but I wouldn’t want to do any other job.
Thank you all for being amazing and all the support you’ve been giving me this past year and a half of doing full-time comics. I really feel like I’m just beginning to hit my stride in this work, and I’m eternally grateful. Thank you!!!
Here’s some sweet treats for you to check out:
En made these CUTE buff gym bunny charms. There’s only nine available online, so don’t miss out.
Book 3 of Grand Slam Romance is out!! Congratulations Emma and Ollie :’) Go read this masterpiece!!! I had the honor of providing a blurb for it. It’s so fucking good.
I’ve been really enjoying Our Permanent Vacation comics. I’ve previously recommended What Happens Next, and I think if you like that one, you’ll like this one.
Being Venezuelan in 2025 (the English auto translate captions are pretty good) video about diaspora and immigration
I like Ali’s album collection :^) it made me feel nostalgic and reminded me of music I used to listen to but forgot about.
More in the neocities vein, here’s a bunch of pixel animations. I put one or two in my friend discord server. I feel so much fomo when I browse cool neocities sites. I used to tinker and code all the time as a kid! I wonder if I can make time to do that again.
Illustrated novels? Yes please! Check out Bonedust Press.
Shoutout to Black Belt Eagle Scout. They were performing in St Johns last weekend, and I missed it bc of a scheduling conflict. I saw them live years ago, and I really like their music.
